This documentary premiered at SXSW in March 2014 and was released by Netflix that September.  The directors were originally brought in for a film about Apple but wished they could go back and see Jobs and Woz creating the firm in its earliest days.  They shifted focus and decided on following 3D printer company Makerbot.
