Instruction and Prompt:

My dear friends, happy Monday 🙂

This week we have one discussion board consisting of two parts.

In Part 1, we have three questions to consider for analyzing the readings for Week 4.  Please only choose two of the three questions in Part 1, and then comment on one other post using the 3C+Q model.

In Part 2, we are focusing on writing and researching skills, and aiming to practice with Level-3 questions.

PART 1:

For Part 1, please only choose two of the questions below (~300 words per answer) and then comment on at least one other post responding only to one of their answers.

Drawing and citing specifically from this weeks readings:

1. Please first choose and then compare and contrast two traditions in terms of how they establish a moral order without reference to a divinity (Daoism, Confucianism, Legalism).

2. Please choose two traditions and compare how they approach the human relationship with the environment (Daoism, Confucianism, Legalism).

3. Based on your analysis of the readings for this week, which one of the three traditions offers a more stable social structure and community, and why? (Daoism, Confucianism, Legalism).

PART 2:

Please make sure to read the Assignment 2: Plan for the Project Assignment Sheet and the Narrow Down and Focus Topics for MMW Papers and Level-3 Questions and Claims worksheets, and to watch the Assignment #2 video first.

Then, please craft and pose a level-3 question using any or all of the readings assigned for Week 4 (One sentence).

All of the listed sources are part of this weeks assigned content and can be found in the following locations:

1. Assignment 2: Plan for the Project Assignment Sheet (Canvas section site: Assignment 2: Plan for the Project page under the module Writing Assignment Sheets, Guidelines, and Resources.)
