INSTRUCTIONS:

All statement must be justified with citations placed into the corresponding text. You must  provide the corresponding reference list using APA or AMA format.

(Provide a minimum of 12 references with at least 8 peer reviewed articles (when available use the most recent) and 4 from government websites or textbooks. Each response should be 1-2 paragraphs. DOUBLE SPACE and use 12 point font. The body of the paper should be between 4-8 pages, depending on your writing style.

Discuss the trend of obesity in the United States from the 1970s onward. (2.5 points)
Explain how restaurants have contributed to the obesity problem using statistics for meals eaten away from home.        (2.5 points)
Consider eat-in restaurants of various categories Fast Food, Fast Casual, and Casual Dining when addressing the following: The physical environment of a restaurant affects how people eat in terms of type of food selections, how fast or slow they eat, time they spend in the restaurant for each of the following:
Explain how the restaurant decor influences customers amount, pace, type of foodetc.
Indicate how noise-level and cooking odors impact eating
Discuss the role of menu design on individuals choices for high-calorie foods.
Indicate how  ambiance such as lighting and music affect eating in terms of pace (speed) and length of time at the restaurant
Describe how wall color and dcor influences eating:amount of food, pace, types of foodetc.
