Overview

You are the case manager for a family of four.  The parents are low wage earners and are parents of 2 children ages 2 and 5 years old.  The husband is a seasonal worker employed April to early November making $250 per week.  The wife works as a foodservice operator at a local Wendy’s earning $9.00 per hour for 20 hours per week.  The family lives in public housing in a one-bedroom apartment for $400 per month.

You are to prepare a working budget for the family.  Discuss the items they need and make certain you make room for child care.  You are to construct a monthly budget also.  On your discussion thread, add a monthly budget that you would propose to the parents.  Remember, your budget and plan must be functional and realistic.
