Please address the these three main themes:

1) An overview of the biodiversity of New Zealand, providing examples of different plants and animals and why New Zealand has such an unusual flora and fauna.

2) The threats  and causes- past and present – that have led to the decline and extinction of species; include the general status of species in New Zealand.

3) The solutions/approaches that are currently being used to protect and restore the native flora and fauna in New Zealand.
