The most central and important debate in the study of human development is the debate of nature vs. nurture, which you read about in Chapter 1, as well as in most upcoming chapters.  Please think about and respond to the following question:
When a person is developing, do you believe nature or nurture plays a bigger role in shaping who that person becomes?  Why?  Use examples from your own life, examples you have heard about, and/or your own reasoning to support your answer.
It is also possible to believe that both nature and nurture equally play a role in shaping who a person becomes.  If you believe this notion, please explain why.  Again, use examples from your own life, examples you may have heard about, and/or your own reasoning to support your answer.
