Compare/Contrast two articles

News Article Compare and Contrast. WUSA9 and CNBC Make It are talking about the same topic. What needs to be compared/contrasted is the audience each news publication caters to and the amount of depth each one went into in the articles.

My approved thesis is: Although WUSA9 and CNBC Make It share similarities informing about minimum wage workers not being able to afford rent, CNBC Make It does the superior job engaging more with the audience and going into more depth.

Audience: The point isnt to identify the audience of just this article but the audience of the general publication. What types of articles does that news publication generally print? Are they newsy? Opinion-oriented? Entertainment? Niche? In other words, does the publication cater to a specific audience with a particular interest, such as business, politics, economics, military, education, etc.?
Depth: When comparing or contrasting details, look at the evidence. Does the evidence in one article contradict the evidence in another article? What kind of background information is given? Is it sufficient?
