This photo challenge requires you to reflect on the various things in your life, as if they are artifacts to be found by future archaeologists. Take some time to look around at your belongings and think about what items could be preserved in the archaeological record. What items are less likely to decompose over time? Which items could withstand various natural forces over time, such as rain, heat, wind, and snow?

Pick between two and five items that you think could persist over time and think about what those items might reveal about you and your life. Make these items the object of your photo. Next, try to think about the objects as if you are an archaeologist from the future who has just uncovered the objects in an excavation. In your 100-200 word caption, describe the items from the perspective of the archaeologist. Keep in mind that this researcher does not know anything about you other than what artifacts you left behind. What do your things say about you?
