1. Visit the Child Lab facility Monday through Friday (North ONLY) from 7:30-12 or 2:30-5:30 for observations.  Students do not have to call for an appointment. When you arrive, let the staff know you are doing as an assignment for this class and will only observe for 1 hour.

Once you have observed for your 60 minutes and have a checklist filled out write your paper based on these guidelines:
Introduction what you were doing there and why observation is important.

Body what you observed from the checklist explain it in general terms, define two concepts (based on the book definition) or theories from class and discuss how they relate to what you have observed. What techniques do you feel were not utilized and how do you think they could have been incorporated?

Conclusion what you have gained from this experience.

The paper must be written in APA format, including citations within the text and a reference page. Please see the link to APA format in the Final Paper tab.  6-8 pages is expected for full credit, this does not include the title page or reference page. 12pt, standard font, double spaced. You are required to use your book plus at least two other reputable sources.
