Narrative Essay

Topic for Narrative paper:
Tell me a story! This may be a happy story, a sad story, or even a bittersweet one. Keep in mind your organization. Use transitions to move smoothly from one part to the next. If you need a little more direction, try one of these ideas:
Write about an important day in your life. This should be about an important day that stands out in your mind, using choice A or choice B below. You can use the following fill-in sentence as a starter topic sentence:

I was (name an emotion) when (the event ) .

–In the first blank, fill in any emotion: angry, sad,
happy, ecstatic, disappointed, etc. –In the second blank, fill in the event you are writing about.
Choice A: Write about a day in your life that you would like to experience again.
Suggestions: a day when you proved you were right; a day when you tried something new and it worked; a day when you discovered that you were good at something new; a day when you helped someone
Choice B: Write about a time in your life that you are glad is over.
Suggestions: a time when you or someone you care about was sick or injured; a time when you had to admit that you were wrong; a time when you had to make a tough decision; a time when you were worried that you might fail
