Attached you will find a paper called Analyzing Poetry Form. You are going to choose two poems one from Dickinson and one from Whitman to analyze. It may be one we read, one that is in our book that we did not read, or another one.

Please include one slide with the entire poem including title and author.

You are going to follow the attached worksheet for your analysis. You will NOT turn in the form, and you should apply only the poetry terms/devices that you find in your work. Please select the terms and devices that are applicable and that you understand.

You are going to do this on a PowerPoint or similar presentation program.

Each poem should have at least four slides, giving a total of at least eight. You are free to do what you want, but you must cover the points on the paper. You should use graphics/pictures/images, music, or text boxes. Each poem will be worth 30 points, giving you a total of 60 points.
