The type of departmentalization that  AT&T uses in their organizational design is Functional departmentalization.

AT&T’s Functional departmentalization consists of four different operations departments each having their own main function. 

These functions include, providing business solutions, entertainment and internet services, consumer mobility, and lastly international support.
