Summary and analysis essay

Write a summary and analysis essay of 600+ words (word count only includes the essay itself) and 5+ paragraphs total. The essay must include the following.

Paragraph 1 –> Summary section: Begin with 1 paragraph summarizing the article. Do not include any of your opinions in this section. (The summary replaces the introduction.)

Paragraphs 2-4 –> Analysis section: After the summary section, write 3+ paragraphs analyzing and responding to the source. These paragraphs should include at least two quotations from the source. Your analysis should follow the instructions attached to your chosen article.

Paragraph 5 –> Conclusion paragraph: End the essay with a conclusion paragraph that reminds the reader of your overall thesis and offers any last thoughts on the article.

Works Cited Page: Include a works cited page with an entry that follows MLA guidelines. Each article’s correct works cited entry is listed on the page MLA Format for Quotations and the Works Cited Page

Requirements for Using Sources

You must use one of the sources listed above.
You must include at least two quotations in the analysis section of the essay. You are welcome to include more than two quotations, but the majority of the essay should be in your own words.
For each quotation, include a lead-in that names the person speaking or creates some context for the quote. Put quotation marks around the exact words you quote and around the title of the source.
You must include a works cited page with an entry for your source.
See the instructions for quoting and the works cited entry on the page MLA Format for Quotations and the Works Cited Page.

Important Grading Notes:

If you only use one quote in the body paragraphs, your essay cannot make higher than a D.
Failure to include any quotes and/or a works cited page will result in an automatic F.
