Instructions
This is a two part assignment:

Read the introductions handout and watch my recorded lecture.

Then:

1. Write your introduction that ends with your thesis statement and follows the advice from the handout.

2. Write your first body paragraph.

Remember for a body paragraph to be a paragraph it must have all four of the following:

A topic sentence that tells the reader what the paragraph is about and ties it back to the thesis
A piece of evidence or support (this will be a quote from your article)
A short analysis of your evidence
Conclusion/transition

Attached is the lecture, the introductory hand out and the essay 2 thesis paper. Watch the lecture, read the introductory hand out, and then go to the essay 2 attachment so that you can read over the thesis you will need for this assignment.
