I would like this paper to examine how war was depicted through 3 different cultures pre- columbian art. I would like The Murals of Bonampak to be analyzed and the role of women in war to be touched on as well. Mary Ellen Miller writes a book called The Murals of Bonampak, and Linda Scheles book The Blood of Kings would be great books to look into for more information.
Another book to look at would be The Spectacle of the late Maya Court: Reflections on the Murals of Bonampak as well as Courtly Art of the Ancient Maya both of these are also by Mary Ellen Miller.
This is a research paper analyzing the art during the pre-columbian era, I would like at least 4 works of art from 3 different regions. These works should depict scenes of war, references of battle or the role that women played in times of conflict and turmoil.
I would like this paper to reflect the grade level of B or higher.
