The book you will need is The Introduction to the Bible by Christine Hayes. You will need to read Hayes 148-222, Lev. 1-20, Deut. 1-14, 27-34, Joshua 23-24, II Sam. 7:8-17, I Kgs. 1-3. If you have the ebook on google it will pages 158-232. Every question listed below has to be answered in 2-3 paragraphs. Does not have to be double spaced.
1. Summarize the Priestly point of view noting how the various key elements of this way of understanding human life and its relationship to the deity (i.e. purity, ritual, holiness etc.) interconnect to provide a worldview and vision of how people ought to live.

2. As in the preceding prompt, summarize the key elements of Deuteronomy and the Deuteronomistic historian. Illustrate your comments with texts from those assigned for this week.

3. Describe and detail the nature of the Davidic covenant related in II Sam. 7:8-17, and discuss how it stands in relationship with the views of the covenant between Yahweh and Israel reported in Ex. 18-24.
