A theoretical research paper integrating personality theory and faith is required.  This paper will be 10 pages in length and include research on a particular personality theorist of your choice and how this theorist’s concepts relate to a case study offered for your analysis.  The final 2 pages include your faith perspective on the theorist’s concepts and formulations.  Although it is assumed that most of the students are Christian, this assignment could be completed using other religious viewpoints.  Use research written by the theorist and then relate his or her major concepts to understanding the male or female in the case and your spiritual persuasion.

The first 8 pages address the case and understand the personality of your case as your chosen theorist would. For example how would Adler understand the personality’s life style as it relates to family constellation and parent child interactions. What personality type would he identify and why. If there is a dream how would it be understood. Only use one personality theorist that we covered in class. There are still a couple more theorist to discuss. You need to find some original sources (e.g. Adler, Freud, Horney, etc or people who represent that school of thought–e.g. there are many Adlerians out there). Besides your text book you likely need at least 4-5 good sources. the paper is APA format–no need for an abstract–but referencing is APA.
