There is lots of discussion and debate about gun rights versus gun violence, and for good reason. We are hearing a whole lot more about acts of gun violence. Public opinion seems to be split on whether it’s a gun violence issue or if it’s a mental health issue.

To be sure in some instances, depending on who is committing the violence determines who the act is characterized.
