This discussion introduces you to the third unit, or writing project, for this course: the Process Description paper. This blends description and process into one essay. You want to be as descriptive as possible but still need to explain a process. For this paper, you can write about a topic you are interested in: how to cook a specific dish, how to travel to a favorite place, or even how you worked your way through a certain situation.

First, though, you are going to read a sample of a Process Description and review the other resources. Then write a 300-word response about this genre and brainstorm possible topics.
