For each book that we read, I’ll ask that you produce a traditional, five-paragraph essay (introduction that ends with a clear thesis, three body paragraphs complete with transitions and topic sentences, and conclusion) in which you explore some theme from the novel.  This should be a clearly written and well organized document in which you demonstrate that you’ve read and thought about the book.
