Read the description of a hypothetical psychological study given on the next page and study the SPSS output also given there. Then writeanswers to all of the following questions. When you have composed your answers, type them into this document under the relevant part of the question.

Hypothetical Psychological Study: A psychologist was interested in whether anxiety would affect someone’s level of self esteem. She tested two groups of people. One group were people awaiting the outcome of a job interview. She classified those as in a state of high anxiety. The other group, who she classified as in a state of low anxiety, were people who she tested just before they went out for a meal with colleagues after work. All participants completed the self esteem questionnaire, on which high scores indicate high levels of self esteem.
